What's in the water at MSNBC?

Looks like this isn't the first time either

    POLITICO

These news on radio stations have lost there balls. God forbid there talent offend anybody. I am not saying what he said was right but this country has gotten so politically correct that if you offend any group of people you get suspended and forced to apologize. Let the viewers decide if they want to watch that kind of stuff, if they don't then the ratings will go down and they can cancel the show.

Ed likes to play a bit rough.

    Frankly, I don't mind.

The left needs somebody with a little punch.

Punch and being an ass are two different things.

If you start stooping to base insults you aren't helping anyone.

As a rule, we don't need MSNBC commentators using that term, but just what is a right wing slut? I'd have to confirm the political context before I can approve or condemn. ;)

Disparaging someones physical state as in "fat slob" is over the line. When you get away from real critiques into personal attacks, your argument looses effectiveness.

That's fair as long as you feel the same way about a network (FOX) full of losers. I like it when conservatives reveal the chink in their armor by calling anyone, I mean anyone they disagree with as "anti-American". Only if you feel like it, please run down the qualities of anti-American in this case.

I'm sorry, but Laura Ingraham is the anti-American hack in this situation. His attack on her was inappropriate and unprofessional, and he could have found a better way of describing that "person". That doesn't make him a loser, socialist or a hack. It just makes him a guy who went a little too far. Like you just did.

    :)

Fivepoint, it is one thing to talk a libertarian game, but when you buy everything they are selling on Fox News, people are going to wonder... Hey, look, another fox news sucker--> [IMG]

he's a tool...and he was suspended a week..wow what a punishment...if it were a conservative saying that about a liberal woman you all would have your panties in a bunch...if all he can do is hurl insults then he loses the argument everytime...it's about policies and ideas people

Yeah, I wonder how people would react if a right wing talker used similar terms like, I don't know, femi-nazi.

They wouldn't, but I would prefer not to think like a right wing wingnut. So I'm against name calling, the political debate in this country is caddy enough without adding (more) insults into the mix.

...I feel there may be some internal inconsistency in my statement .

As far as I'm concerned, there is little difference between right-wing nuts like Limbaugh and left-wing nuts like Schultz.

wth, son. I listen to Beck, Limbaugh, Crowley (the worst of the lot, if you believe it), and Levin (close second). The stuff they say about liberals makes this comment look like old Batman euphimisms. Fox obviously doesn't care, since they never suspend them, but just look how advertisers reacted to some of Beck's rants.

Calling someone who shills for any political party a "slut" is immature and offensive. He deserved what he got.

On the right, saying Obama is a Muslim to incite racial fears, pandering to birthers, calling Obama "deeply racist" towards white people, insulting Henry Waxman's physical appearance ("dirty little buck tooth, brown-nose, rat-fink socialist" - Monica Crowley), etc., is now so common no one pays attention.

You mean over at Fox? Their viewership eats this stuff up. This is one of the reasons I'm happy MSNBC is keeping some standards in broadcasting.

Shultz has always been a loudmouth slob. At least Olbermann had enough functioning braincells to make coherent sentences. Ed just yells all the damn time. He really is the lefty equivalent of Rush. I've been watching way less MSNBC, or any cable news for that matter, for about a year now.

Same pointless stories all day, with only one important thing focused on each night.

Whether or not the left 'hates America' is not really debatable... it's fact. As I stated previously in another thread:

So if its all about loving those principles and ideals, what does it make those who enact policies that take away and deny those freedoms and flat out lie about it?

Now how about those who, like me, are endlessly outraged at this kind of duality going on?

I'll await your assignment of liberals to my first question.
