So who here grows mushrooms? Anyone?
Anyone study microscopy?
Going to try a spore syringe in a substrate bag soon...
I've been using cakes, soon I will move on to casings. I've found that myco bags tend to take longer to colonize than jars.
I was just wondering, as it seems like the Mushroom community and the Mac community don't share many members. Since I like to grow mushrooms and I like macs, I figured I'd do a little research. I'd post a "who uses a mac" thread at the mushroom site, but I don't want to get flamed by ignorants.
I think you meant to say, does anyone study mycology? I like most kinds of mushrooms!
Actually I meant what I said. I was wondering if anyone here grows mushrooms, which does fall under the study of mycology. I was also wondering if people here studied microscopy, which does not have to include mycology.
As for the mushroom site, so far I've gotten one flame and no serious responses. I guess macs and mushrooms just don't go together.
speaking of mushrooms...
although they aren't euphoric...
Hey, I wasn't necessarily talking about psychoactive mushrooms.
About the only mushroom growing I do, are the ones that grow in my yard. Of course, they get mowed when the lawn does. However, I do eat them (store bought), usually sauteed, or on a pizza. A local resteraunt has wonderful deep fried mushrooms, that are even better dipped in ranch dressing .
although...I've never tried those kind...
Sounds delicious, making me hungry again!
I'm not really into shroomz (or microscopy) , and I don't think
many people on this forum are, but I bet if you posted a 'does
anybody like computers?' thread, it would be quite prolific.
hmm...wouldn't that go without saying?
I like mushrooms. I've never grown any, though. I have some friends who live up in Michigan who have morels growing on their property during morel season... They have to keep other people off of their property so they can horde them to themselves. They're really good mushrooms, and can fetch twenty-something dollars a pound at the grocery...
