    Jeez

I'm a atheist, (Jewish) do we have to take this kind of crap from those that are:

    1) Brainwashed Kids

    2) Lunatics bent on destructive religious division

I don't want people blowing me or anybody to tiny pieces but the fact is, without it (religion) the world would be a slightly better place.

My family have pretty much disowned me, I bought a German car.....Sheesh, you should have heard my Mother....4 foot 9" of pure bile.

I'm jewish, and I'm an atheist Get over it Mom that's how it is.

I respect all people who believe in any kind of afterlife But no damn book says Blow people to bits, kill US and UK armed forces with IED's

Sorry folks, Flame me if you will, but religion Per. Say. Sucks

You're not actually expecting a rational response to that question, are you? Most things the right wing makes an issue of aren't really issues.

    And How

Exactly is that a right / left / middle ground?

This is not about politics. It's about a world view, and those who come after us. Show me a politician without an agenda and I will show you his agenda, and his so called policy is designed to perpetuate the "Same old same old"

Wake up and smell the Damn Coffee....We are in severe economic strife, and there is only one fix. I don't like it, but I will put my hand up and say "I am prepared to pay more to help"

Other side of it is "It's not my problem, I won't be around anyway"

    Rant Over

I wish that crazy would take a day off once in a while.

Sadly the day this happens, it's likely because I've joined them, or ceased to exist. ;)

Geller is nothing if not the epitome of batshyte crazy.

Her "fervor" of everything anti-wasp, is astonishing...I use her as an example in my classroom of how NOT to be.

My students understand that extremism of any sort can be dangerous.

I wasn't aware thanksgiving was a day to thank God for our freedom. My understanding according to history books is it is a day of celebrating harvest with the native american.

    Am I wrong ?

even i (not american, yet an american... XD) know that it has nothing to do with freedom at all, it comes from giving thanks for a good harvest (even wikipedia says so!)

    Damn Right

People turn it all into an excuse to eat, drink etc. They don't know the history.

    This is nuts.

Even us Athiests/Agnostics/Heathens/Goys know that, to get a superior meal on your flight, you order the Kosher meal.

You're half way right. The first year, the crops failed and half the Pilgrims died. The second year the crops were good, the natives were friendlier and much fewer people died.

It's mostly a thanksgiving of mere survival, definitely not about freedom.

Gives rise to speculation of "what if" in the second year the crops failed again.

We might all be speaking Spanish right now. :p

Or perhaps you might be speaking an Inuit dialect, though my knowledge of things Canadian was from a brief affair with one of your countrymen. We didn't speak a hell of a lot about politics or the crops.
    KGB:rolleyes:
