    • Do you know what numbers to dial to block your ATM and credit cards when your wallet is lost or stolen?
    • Do you even know what cards are in your wallet? And what the account or card numbers are?
    • How to contact the Alarm Centre of your travel insurance?
My name is Martijn Koopman from The Netherlands. I think I made a must-have App, that can help anyone who owns bank and credit cards.
Please let me know what you think of it, you can try it for free.

My Card Info is an extensive database with emergency phone numbers of (bank) cards, sorted by country and category.

Use "My Card Info" to make a digital and interactive copy of all the plastic in your wallet. The information will save precious time in case you have to act.

    Features
    • My Card Info is an extensive database (more than 2000 cards) with emergency phone numbers of (bank) cards, sorted by country and category.
    • For each card it shows the contact information to block it: local and international phone number (push to call directly), a link to the website and optionally more details.
    • You can add your own cards from any country in the world.
    • You can add personal data to the cards that you have, like a card or account number, and any comments you want. For example when you have called a company to block your card.
    • The cards that you select are shown in a convenient separate summary overview. This is the overview that you need when you need to block your cards.
    • Your card summary can be emailed, for example to your relatives before you go on holiday. In the unfortunate event that something happens during your holiday, they can simply help you, since they have all the details they need. This saves you expensive international phone calls.
    • You can create multiple user profiles, e.g. for each family member.
    • Optional password protection for each user profile.
    • AES 128-bit database encryption is used to store all your personal information securely. Our encryption algorithm is registered and certified by the American Department of Commerce (DOC) Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) under ERN number R100730.
    • Multi-language, currently English and Dutch are supported.
    Database
The database currently consists of 2300 cards for 32 countries, among:

    ✓Australia (154); Bank (44), Credit Card (108)
    ✓Canada (173); Bank (15), Credit Card (150), Insurance (3), Shopping (2)
    ✓India (197); Bank (53), Credit Card (140)
    ✓Netherlands (169); Bank (19), Credit Card (57), Insurance (67), Shopping (9)
    ✓United Kingdom (138); Bank (62), Credit Card (61), Insurance (11), Shopping (2)
    ✓United States (282); Bank (65), Credit Card (205), Insurance (5), Shopping (5)

The database will be updated frequently, to add as many countries and cards as possible.
These updates will be free of charge.

More valuable information that can be used to steal the iPhone users identity when they lose their phone. Sorry but I don't want that kind of information stored on my phone. It's not as if you can walk into a store and read them your credit card information to make a purchase.

    Dear OldSchoolMacGuy,

I understand your concerns, but My Card Info is not the average app to store all kind of personal data, like PIN codes, passwords, etc.

In contrast, we explicitly advise you to not do that, as you can read in the iTunes app description:
"Do not ever provide any authentication information to your card details, like PIN and CVN. Only use account or card numbers."

Especially since it doesn't make sense to store this sensitive information.
My Card Info is developed to help you when your wallet is stolen, not to steal from you.
You don't have to enter personal data at all, since the database itself contains all the relevant phone numbers to block cards.
If you want to create the My Cards overview, you can simply use fake numbers, or for example only the last 4 digits of a card number.

To increase the safety we are working to add password security to the app. This will be available in one of the future releases.

I hope this will reassure you.

iMKapps takes all your comments and suggestions serious. These were the base for this update, to give you a better app experience.

We are working on an update

My Card Info is a big success.
We receive dozens of emails with suggestions to add new cards from all over the world.
Thank you very much. We have a lot of work to process those, so we appreciate your patience.

Besides common nationwide cards, a lot of regional or even local cards are suggested. We don't want to add these, because they are only usefull for a few customers.

Therefore we are investigating the technical possibilities to manually add your own cards in My Card Info.
As soon as we have finished it, we will post again.

Thank you for all your support and tips and requests.

It is a well-thought app. However, idk if this app will be use often. It is not every day that we loose our wallet! I think it is a good app, however, it will have a very low retention and frequency of use per week.

    Hi CLoud23,

    Thanks for your repsonse.
It is indeed an app that you (hopefully) do not have to use very often.
At least not to report or block cards.

However, it is also an overview of all kind of numbers that you need once in a while to fill in forms, like your passport or driver's license number.

The "My Cards" tab shows all of these numbers in one clear overview.
