I've always owned 40mm watches, Battery life was always a pain, I felt I had to kind of mother it to make it through the day. Recently got a S7 went for 45mm this time, easily makes it through the day and some without mothering it at all and with always on display on. I know Apple say both have same battery life, I'm calling bull on this, my 45 does last longer. The fast charge is also very welcome.

Anyone else notice this or am i just imagining it all?

I have an aluminum S7 41mm and it lasts about 28-30 hours with AOD. It's my first apple watch so I can't compare with other watches

The problem with drawing any conclusions is that you changed several things at once, thus it is difficult to know which change has resulted in more battery life:

1. You changed from 40mm to 45mm
2. You changed from S4/S5 to S7 (the newer models are reportedly more energy efficient, although not published as such)
3. You changed from a used battery to a new battery
