I've been asking for this in so many versions of Mac OS 10, and I've been bitching about it on these forums for a while too! http://alphaomega.software.free.fr/functionkeysmapper/Function Keys Mapper.html The name of the app is Function Keys Mapper. I came across it when I was looking at another app on that site, Screen Movie Recorder, another great little app. What this one does is you can program your function keys to actually function, just like in system 9! I personally hate going to the left side of the screen, all the way to the last pixel, and hunt for the application I want. Now, I just use my function key mapper. I am a film editor, and I create a news show. The on air talent reads from an old iMac on the set, where the talent reads off of this other cool teleprompter application. I wanted to do a function keys mapper because it was easiest in this situation as it is hard to manipulate the mouse on the table. I tried using Mac OS 9, but the prompter kept freezing up. Then, I came across this. I love it so much! Perhaps you don't, but I think it's cool!
