Owner, is what I called the name on this computer (Winblows) and so thats why its donator is Owner - GO MAC RUMORS!!!

That's nice, but what's the point? Are you telling us that you're getting somewhere, moving up the list?

I've turned out over 35,000 points for the team and I'm way down the list.

bravo??

Since I got my G5, I cant run Folding for fear of loud fan noises. I ran it on my PB once, got too hot and I was wearing the poor laptop down. SO I dont run folding anymore. :(

Folders: look up your stats in my sig. EOC has a pretty cool site if you've never been there. (I'm not affiliated, I just think the graphs are pretty :) ) They've got stats, overtakes, graphs, future predictions, etc. for each user (if not anonymous), and each team. There are a fair number of Mac teams in the top 100--congrats to MacRumors and others!

Plus, the stats consolidate what you've sent from multiple email addresses--as long as what's before the "@" is the same. I've folded as nagromme@ several different addresses--and as "nagromme" alone--but my total at EOC includes all of it.

Also, anyone who doesn't like the fan noise/heat the results from running your CPU at 100% should consider simply folding part time. Have Energy Saver sleep your Mac after 2 hours or whatever. You'll still get the work done on time if your Mac is reasonably fast.

Have a dual G5 and it was running 24/7 at the highest/fastest clock speed (energy saver turned off!) and no extra noise whatso ever. Had it turned on for almost a year, folding 24/7, till I got my energybill from my powercompany (it wasn't only my G5, also my G3 folding 24/7 and some other appliances).
