iPad My Ipad running latest ios 13.2.3 doesn't add epub books from mac desktop!

Hi so I have an IPad running latest 13.2.3 ios. I connected this ipad to my mac running latest Catalina and selected manual addition to my ipad.

However the problem is, whenever I add EPUB books to the ipad via cable to ipad, the icon for the ipad in finder window indicates that the transfer is taking place but when I open Books app in ipad, the books don't appear!

Why is this? Is anyone else having problems adding epub books to your ipad?

Books app is most buggy after ios n Catalina updates!

The more I use books app on latest ipados the more bugs I come across. Apple really needs to fix bugs within the books app
