I have an "Apple eMac OS X 10.3.9". On my "itunes"
Library I have close to 3,300 songs
downloaded, But there came a time where they had
accidently somehow ended up in the trash. I'm
THINKING.. Not sure, That I hit "Advanced" up on top
of the
screen then on that same topic, there was something
else hit, But don't know what. Now here's the
catch.. They still ended up showing in my library,
Then too there are several songs that don't have names
for the tracks, They just show example (Track 1 Track
2 track 3" and so on) Plus they have various artists,
But they do have the name of the album. I have a lot
of very rare songs on there, that I can
no longer find. And I fear that alot might get
erased, Is there somehow am able to restore them in my
"itunes" library..? It's pretty much slowing down my
computer and I'm trying to avoid any damage that can
take place. Is there any way that I can have this
problem solved? I heard that they can still be in my
computer but lost somewhere. Thank you very much for
your time and advice..!!

Is it just the files in the Trash, or do you have folders too? Is iTunes set to manage your files? If you still have the Artist/Album/Song folder structure in the Trash and you haven't changed any of the default iTunes Preferences relating to where your library is stored, then drag everything out of the Trash and into the iTunes Music folder whilst iTunes is closed. :)

Even though I've had my computer since 2002... I'm a very slow learner.... Put it this way, I barely learned what an icon meant about 2 weeks ago... But I have alot of different things in my trash, Like pics. and a few other different things in there.

Ahh, sorry mate. Close iTunes and drag everything from your Trash to a folder called iTunes Music. It's in your iTunes folder which is in your Music folder. Is that a bit better? :)

No it's not your fault, I blame myself for this. Do i drag all 3,000 and something songs, one by one, out of my trash and into my itunes folder?

My itunes folder should be located under applications??
Open a new Finder window (Apple + N), there should be a "Music" folder in the left panel. Open it, and within this directory there should be an iTunes library folder, which has a iTunes Music subfolder. That's the one you are looking for. :)

So they shouldn't double-up in my library?
If you just move them into the folder, no. They might double-up if you drop them into the iTunes application directly.

No worries mate. Are you saying it's all back to normal now? :)
Well.... In a way. But not really, But I am trying to get there I started to mess with it again, But Like I was saying before, I am a very slow learner when it comes to computers, I forget alot I probably have to start again from the beginning. from when you told me. Then too, Maybe I should look into taking computer classes. Then also I haven't really been online as you may notice, I've been having to go out of town alot lately. But I'm going to try and get it. I thank you again...!! :)

Okay, I'm not really sure where things are going wrong but as a quick rule of thumb; don't touch any of your music files or data. Listen to your music, and change the file names, playlists and album data through iTunes only. You should be fine if you just do everything from iTunes. :)
