for a few seconds it was in there, yes there was water in the sink. The phone worked normally until today when the sound stopped working for texts videos and music. Weirdly enough the ringtone sound still works and she can hear voicemails. Any tips, do you think this is because of the water or just a weirdly close coincidence?
.so, you're saying she didn't turn it off and pop it in rice to dry out? Water+electronics=VERY BAD OUTCOME!
Unfortunately no, she didn't know about that, and I wasn't home so she told me hours later. Yeah she has to wait until february for her upgrade so I guess no sound for her, lol
Please see this ^^^^^^ Not drying it out, then this sudden failure does not bode well for the health of her 4S However, it has had a long and fruitful life, so it is time to allow it to die with dignity and move on to 'greener' 5s or 5c pastures .
I love how you ask if it's the water...... LoL..... Nope, just a co-inkydink. OOW replacement and a "new" phone for cheap. Then her upgrade comes and she has an extra phone for when she drops that one in a sink full of water. Plus pictures of the sister or it didn't happen.
I gave her my iPod touch for her music needs, but luckily enough all the sound came back on, hope it stays on at least until we can upgrade lol.
Just do what seemingly everyone does, take it to the genius bar and act indignant when he/she points out the water sensors are all 100% triggered.
