Sounds like Apple needs to implement more robotics to keep this from happening.
If they can shrink their human labor work force by 50% and use robotics the odds of people being over worked, and sick and suicidal should decrease dramatically.
The Foxconn facility in Shenzhen employees more than 230,000 workers. And since iPhone production started in 2007, five employees have succumbed to leukemia.
The Age-Standardized fatality rate from leukemia is approximately 3 per 100,000 annually throughout the developed world. (This means that out of a random population of 100,000 humans, annually three of them will die of leukemia. Its a nasty disease.) Suggesting that, if anything, working at the iPhone factory makes you less likely to die of leukemia.
