This was rumored to be happening and the Snowden papers have proved it.

    Google is "outraged"

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-24751821

Yet they want everyone in the world to wear Google Glass, so with facial recognition etc... so they can sell ads.

I'm not sure which bothers me more, Google or the NSA. They are both data mining all of us.

One does it for profit and one does it for "security"?

So should I be afraid of Big Brother, or the company that will become Big Brother or the company that will be used by Big Brother.

    IDK...

Google doesn't just hand over personal information. Sure they want to sell ads but they are not going to just hand it over to the government.

Perhaps the NSA should have offered google some cash to get the data!

What if you were emailing to organise a protest against the government?

I believe that a great deal of the 'indignation' of EU governments about US spying is feigned, for its sounds to me like the US and EU countries conspire to share information on their citizens: You spy on my citizens, which I cannot do legally, and I'll spy on yours, which you cannot do legally. In this case, the US and the UK conspired.
