I'm talking about my 14PM. Yes it's in a case because I like to keep it in good condition to trade in next September - a thing I've done since the trade-in program has been running. Anyway, I digress. Just holding mu 14PM out of the case, in beautiful black, is a thing of beauty. It feels sublime out of the case and in your hand. Such a shame I haven't go the balls to go naked all of the time.

DO you go commando or super protective with your shiney new and latest iPhone?

My 13 pro is my first "smartphone".
That said, I'm quite protective of it, especially in light of how much time I spend hiking and on some quite rough & rocky trails.
I'm not a big fan of damage, especially that damage that could have been prevented.
..................and it has!

While I have AppleCare+, I always have a case on my 13 Pro Max, even if it’s just a super thin 0.3mm one.

While the shiny steel frame of the Pro models looks pretty in Apple keynote videos for the press, in real life it instantly picks up a crazy amount of fingerprints and eventually hand oils, making it look gross.

Current rotation, depending on my mood, is between the following 4 cases:
  1. Switcheasy Ultra Thin
  2. Elago Pebble
  3. Nillkin Texture Pro
  4. Apple Leather

The reason it looks so beautiful is because it is so delicate and made of glass.

No one really made the argument about covering up the 6S because the phone had an aluminium back and the device, as a whole, wasn’t particularly appealing to the eye.

This, ironically, made it the type of phone you could go caseless with.

I have the Apple black leather case for my 14Pro for when I'm at work, but if I'm at home it's often caseless. I've got AC+ anyway and previously used my 13Pro for a year without a case and was careful with it, no damage when I passed it on to a family member.

Case when on the train/at work/out in general and caseless when at home. Not a big deal if I drop it on my sofa/bed/carpet vs the great outdoors.

No cases…

In order of purchase/use, 2015 iPhone 6s+, 2019 Pixel 3a XL, 2021 11 Pro Max. These phones have ever been in a case.

My other phones. With the exception of the iPhone 5 which was in a clear case for maybe a month in 2012 and the HTC Touch Pro (never in a case), I cannot say if these phones were in case or not as I am not the original owner. But they aren't in cases now.

The iPad that took the above pictures…no case, never been in a case.
