    They are more than a little panic-struck

    After their CEO had the b@lls to tell the music industry NOT to deal with Apple- and now lowering the price....

    Will be interesting to see SJ's response.

    No need for any response from Jobs for the time being. It looks like Napster is already getting into desperation mode at this point. It continues to amaze these bozos that Apple and AAC are kicking the pants off of Microsoft and WMA in the marketplace and it's really ticking them all off. :)

    Almost nobody truly averages as high as the stated .99 at iTunes

    The average price I've paid for songs at iTunes is 75 cents. The lowest I have paid is 53 cents--and I have bought a lot under 60 cents. If buying an album counts as "buying in bulk" then I get discounts on about half my music :) The other half is singles for .99.

    Or free, come Feb. 1!

    The cheapest album I've bought was $4.95.
