    Hook title apologies! ;)
Does anyone believe this event did not happen multiple times from 1969-1972, ala Capracorn One, a 1977 thriller, that involves fake Moon landings?

We saw Buzz Aldrin at the Crazy Horse Monument's Laughing Water Restaurant today. Apparantly he's in town (Rapid City, S.D.) for a book signing event. Well, after he leaves, my wife says there's an astronaut who supposedly landed on the Moon. So we got into our usual debate about it, and I dug up a couple of articles for her. Number one, the landing site has been spotted by other nation's unmanned spacecraft. Hey honey, what more does anyone need? :):)

I shot this pic a while ago that's sorta about the conspiracy theories.
It was a photo forum competition using song titles and lyrics.
I went with The REM song "Man on the Moon".

"...Now, Andy did you hear about this one?
Tell me, are you locked in the punch?
Andy are you goofing on Elvis? Hey, baby
    Are we losing touch?

If you believed they put a man on the moon
    Man on the moon
If you believe there's nothing up his sleeve
    Then nothing is cool..."

I watched the first Moon landing live on a 10" B&W portable TV with my brother in 1969 - so yeah, we landed on the Moon :D

We see eye to eye on most subjects, including politics and home decor, but for whatever the reason...

Mythbusters did a show on this once and they really explained away by way of testing the major arguments the people who say its a hoax.

FWIW, there is people who still believe the earth is flat http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/

It's a good job your wife didn't confront him and accuse him of lying about landing on the moon. :)

Likewise, there are people who still believe there is a god who created the world in seven days.

They're crazy. Everyone knows God created the world in SIX days. He rested on the 7th day. Good thing too, or else he would have been stoned by his followers for breaking his law of not working on the Sabbath.

The religious bigots just can't contain themselves even when the thread has nothing to do with it.

That's kind of like how the religious bigots can't contain themselves over (gay) marriage which has nothing to do with them.

Of course the Apollo missions got people to the moon. That's how we stumbled across the lizard men in their base on the dark side of the moon. The lizard men then came back and infiltrated the highest levels of government here on Earth.

Why do you think we sent so many Apollo missions to the moon at such great expense, even after we determined there was nothing of value there? It was to bring back more lizard men until there were enough here for a stable breeding population.

    Wake up, sheeple!

That explains the state of the Gubment since the 70's and it's still going downhill. It's time we got rid of the blood suckers from the moon. Cast down the Luna Ticks. No more Luna Ticks in Gubment.o_O

Sure you didn't mean "I share my wife's opinion on home decor too because if I don't she won't stop talking to me" ???

Did I miss that post in this thread? Because I'm pretty sure that's what we're talking about here.

When you take photos in space, you might be taking photos of differ dimensions. That means some of the moon landing photos could be an alternate reality. That's my unscientific theory and I'm sticking to it.

One of the things that many of these moon nuts tend to over look or ignore is the simple fact that during this time we, being the US, were in the midst of the cold war with one of the only other countries at the time that could have and has the resources to call us out if it was faked, that being the USSR. They had the means and the reason to embarrass us had it been faked. Just some Tang for thoughts.

Even more than that. How many people would have been involved if we faked something like that? There is absolutely no way someone wouldn't have spilled the beans.

Not sure why people entertain moon hoaxes theories and 9/11 conspiracies. I think they just like to feel more enlightened than the masses.
