I'm so disappointed that the Kings are a 4 seed. Hopefully S.A. will destroy the Lakers in round 2 (or Houston in Round 1).
I hope this is the Timberwolves year. On the minus side is that the Kings and Wolves can't both make it to the Conference Finals. On the bright side though, at least one should make it.
Come on Nets, lets finally see it through to the end this year...
I am gonna put some money on the Nuggets....pay off is pretty big & well, T-Wolves know how to exit in the first round better than anyone.....
Who was the last 8 seed to beat a 1 out West?....
i got game 1 tix! go kings!
I'm actually OK if Lakers doesn't win, as long as Kings doesn't win.
Nugget(8) over Sonics(1) in '94 or '95.
?Nuggets (8) over T-Wolves (1) in 2004??????
Pacers vs Lakers
.....with the Pacers bringing home the championship!
Pistons over Lakers...
In 6. Defense baby!
Indiana WILL be held under 70 again. More than once.
Kings going downhill
I am not really a Kings fan but I chear for them as most fun to watch team.
If the playoffs started in february, Kings would win every series 4-0 or 4-1.
Right now, they will probably be out in round 1. Dallas will clean them up, unless Webber goes back to bench. Don't get me wrong, I still think that Weber is a very good player but he is not ready to be focal point of the offense at the moment.
With CWebb in the game, Kings are scoring less, assists are not flowing like it was when Divac was at the high post. Peja is not getting the screens (he is not even getting a ball). Brad Miller is isolated when playing with Webber.
Lakers did marvelous job by letting Kings win on Sunday. They ensured Webber's 35-40 min a game and Pacific Division for themselfs.
If Adelman goes to Vlade/Brad/Peja frontcourt, Kings have a chance. Otherwise, Dallas goes to semi-finals.
So my prediction:
East: DET over IND
West: SA over MIN
NBA finals: SA over DET
Your wrong, discussion over!
Indiana will be the ones holding Detroit under 70.
Pacers over Lakers for the championship.
you guys seem to be ignoring the fact that the past 2 years, the pacers have been the numbr 1 seed in the east, and lost to the nets...
go nuggets! go nuggets!
Well, i am kinda biased considering i live in CO hehe
sorry, i'm from LA
Det vs Min in the finals
Min in 6, KG MVP, and havoc in the cities!
Oh please, it's gonna be the Celtics You Westerners
The Pistons' defence is far more for suffocating than when Carlisle left, and I'm not sure he's got a game plan to score consistently. Actually, I'm not sure anyone really does. Certainly I don't take anything away from the talent present on the Pacers, but in a seven game halfcourt grind that this series promises to be, I just think Detroit will be able to force more bad shots and create more turnovers. That, I believe, will be the difference in the Eastern final.
That, and, if Ben decides on 'fro over 'rows.. come on dude, it's over.
OK, first off.... I have no idea what your talking about.
I just picked the Pacers because I'm from Indiana. I don't think I've watched more than 5 seconds of an NBA game since 1993.
It sounds like you know what your talking about, so you're probably right. The only thing I know is that the Indianapolis Star keeps having articles about how good the Pacers are, and apparently they've won a lot of games . Is that correct? Sorry, I don't follow the NBA.
Oh, and you mentioned Detroit holding them under 70. Have they done that a lot this season? Is it something they are famous for this season?
In case you didn't know.
LAKERS IS THE NBA.
You know, deep in your head, its true. The Lakers have won an NBA championship in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s.
