Wow, a website is testing it's software before the election. Shocking. I would hope people test their stuff out first and don't just go live with untested software and hope for the best! :D

That's nothing. They usually use test data for their results pages. Newsweek have already got publications of their "Madam President" edition in the wild. They are completely in the tank for her and having a publication that kisses her ass so much should worry everybody.

It is normal to prepare content ahead of time to have it ready to go.

Maybe not worth the effort is the probability is low.

How do you know what they have going on inside their company?

Like a World Series baseball game, people make things ahead of time. One gets used, the other does not.

(Great cover by the way...love it. Thanks for posting!). :D

Looks like "deplorable" is going to be the next common word used.

Instead of saying "You're ugly", it'll be "you're deplorable."

Instead of saying "F U", it'll be "You Deplorable."

Instead of saying "what a bitch", it'll be "what a deplorable."

As someone who works in live production, and often with content creators, this is normal.

Brexit was named word of the year, as I thought it would.

    This whole topic is ridiculous.

I'm working on something like this myself. Where I live we've got an issue on the ballot. I'm preparing a Thank You message in case we need it, because why on earth would I want to create it in a big ****ing hurry on the morning of November 9?

And applause for MadeTheSwitch's comment about WS merchandise. A couple days ago I saw an online article showing all the cool World Series Champions swag they had already manufactured and ready to go for the Cleveland Indians.

Yes, MLB is in the tank for the Tribe! Dun Dun Duhhh!!!

As someone who helped work on one of the very early CBS election reporting systems, I can say it took weeks of prep and testing to make sure we weren't going to have the anchor out there bragging about... a blank screen?!

lmao. I love the smell of right wing nut desperation in the afternoon.

They didn't even link to the page. So it's either a completely fabricated photoshop job, which would not be surprising at all, or they "stumbled" upon a development page some programmer was using for testing.

Our elections are run independently by localities on the town, city, county, and state level. Anyone who thinks there's some widespread conspiracy of the "media" to "rig the election" have to be one of the dumbest people on Earth.

There's no Gary Johnson or Jill Stein edition either. Companies aren't going to piss away resources on **** that's not likely to happen.

:D Then I apologize for not reading you correctly. As has been noted here many times, it's become more and more difficult to tell the difference between a parody of conservative lunacy and the real thing.

The New York Times even prepared a headline. Screen Shot 1.png

A paper that's in the tank doesn't bother me. There's always a paper around the corner saying "oh yeah?"

Publications that ignore suddenly rising stars, maybe they should worry a little more next time.

If Trump had been vetted properly during the runup to the primaries, we would not find his name on the general election ballots. Once his support did not cave in after his shocking statements during the announcement of his candidacy, every newspaper in the country should have been hammering on him nonstop until he went back to the drawing board of his next reality TV show.

It's a disgrace that Trump came out of that Republican convention wearing the crown of his hijacked party. There's a reason for superdelegates and party honchos and it's not to promote such complete outliers in American presidential politics.

I don't know who looks worse this year in the ascension of Trump, the party or the press.
