Anybody have any insight on how I can get the 10.15.4 installer? I updated to .5 and my 2018 6 Core Mac mini keeps crashing. I've even done a fresh install of 10.15.5 and same crap. Very frustrating, this is disrupting my job.

THanks.

It would be better to figure out what's on your system that causes the crashes instead of trying to go backward. Crashing aren't normal. What is happening? What software are you using? What machine do you have?

If you decline to figure it out, your best bet would be to restore from your prior backup. Since your job is important to you, you'll have a backup. ;) If not, now is the time to get backup religion.

All my files are in iCloud and One Drive so I don't back anything up, its not really needed as I can fresh install my Mac within 30 minutes if something got corrupt. As I said, upon updating to 10.15.5 I started getting panic crashes. Did a clean install last night and only install Microsoft Office, One Driver Sync App and Google Chrome. Same thing, nothing but crashes. Just did another clean install, same crap. Apple needs to get it together, this is ridiculous.

That's not normal. Something is wrong with your system. I'm glad your data is not in jeopardy. You said you did a clean install. Did that include reformatting the SSD and installing fresh from Internet Recovery?

Under what circumstances does your computer crash? Is it after the computer goes to sleep and you wake it up? Just saying it crashes does not give a lot of information.

Yes created a new bootable USB from the latest installer out of the App Store. Rebooted MAC, used Disk Utility to reformat Hard Drive using APFS and then did the install.

I've just read some of the other posts about it crashing upon wake up. After the clean install I did about 2 hours ago, Was on a work google hangouts call and the PC froze and rebooted. I generally have prevent computer from sleeping automatically when display off checked, I never let my disks go to sleep, and I have not just disabled power nap. But yeah It crashes when just doing normal work and not from a wake up. Very frustrating.

What machine do you have? You may have a hardware problem.

2018 Mac mini 3.2GHZ I7 32GB RAM using two Samsung 4K Monitors that are directly connected using Display Port to USB C Cables.

This all started the minute I updated to 10.15.5, having a sudden hardware issue at the same time would be very big coincidence

That definitely does not sound normal. Create a new user account, reboot, login to the new user account and try doing your work from the new user account if that is possible. Trying to see if the issue might be with your user account and in how you migrated the data over to it when you installed the computer.

Ill give it a shot, but going back to my original ask, is there a way to get the 10.15.4 installer?

Not officially. Search the web and you'll find macOS installers hosted by unknown sites. Use at your own risk.

yep that's my fear.... apple man.... huge fan but this is beyond frustrating. Everything was fine before this update.

The other thing you can try is booting into Safe Mode and work from there and see if the crash happens.

Might also be worth looking at your crash logs to see what they say.

Nothing. I have two 4K monitors via USB C, a USB A speaker for my conference calls. File wise everything is driven to either my 2TB iCloud Storage or for work, One Drive for Business.

I am going to guess that the crashing is caused by the OneDrive client. Here are some relevant threads that may offer some help. Microsoft may need to update the client, and if this is in fact the problem, going back to 10.15.4 might be the best solution until Microsoft can release a fix.

Thanks but just as a heads up, after last nights clean install I had yet to install the One Drive sync app and it was still crashing. I did install it this morning so I can access my work files. All was fine, then I turned on iMessage iCloud Sync and BOOM, froze within a minute. Below is the error. Catalina has become trash. I had no issues before this .5 release.

That sucks. I understand your frustration. Can you post the entire panic log please. Your machine’s behavior is not normal.

Is there another method to grab the log? I'm just grabbing the error report after restart. The above is all that was output on this latest one. Yeah man, I'm knee deep in the apple ecosystem but this is beyond frustrating.

The best and easiest way to grab the crash report is from the Console app.

After you did a clean install did you migrate any data from a backup?

I could be wrong about this but it looks like the crash happened in the bridge OS:

I don't know if this is relevant, but I had my imac 2017 running catalina 10.15.4 for months, then I turned on sleep. On first wake-up it went bananas, crashed, and rendered my startup drive unbootable.

I restored from backup, have not turned on sleep, and everything's been fine since.

No data from backup. I don't use Time Machine anymore since all my files and photos are in the cloud.

Yeah I've always turned sleep off. =/

Just an update here. Since I did a fresh install I figured I'd let my photo album sync over the weekend since I'm not working. Seemed pretty stable until I woke up this morning. Error below..
