Here at home we're having an "Uber-LAN" that is spanning two houses linked together. Unfortunately, the LAN games of choice are CounterStrike, Half Life, etc.

I can borrow hardware, but I also wanted to get my mac involved. So in order to do this I volunteerd to see if I could set up some servers using the Linux ports of these softwares and using X11 to run them.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how to do it?

X11 is a windowing system that is common on other Unixs (and Linux) it is not an emulation layer and does not allow Linux software to run on Mac OSX. If you have the source code to these programs you might be able to recompile them on Mac OSX to get them to run.
