ny somewhere
am seeing a neighbor's homepod in sound preferences (over airplay). how do i block this?

for that matter, how do i block others who show up in airdrop? both my macs are set to 'contacts only', but other people sometimes show up as possible destinations.

maybe they got connected to your wifi
No, they are likely allowing access to everyone (don’t need to be on the same Wi-Fi network). I have the same problem…I can see my neighbors’ HomePod mini and several Apple TVs in my list. It drives me nuts. I wish there was a way to block or ignore them.

I’ve tried connecting to them in the past, which should turn on their TV and show the passcode screen. Was hoping they would notice and adjust their settings, but no such luck. ?

I don’t really understand why someone would want to allow access to everyone in a home. In an office or a shared public area, yes; but not at home.

maybe they just don't know there is such thing in the setting lol. they got no idea what's going on.

there should be a way to control-click on a listed item, and 'remove permanently'... something like that. anyway, will report it in feedback assistant (fwiw)...
