I have a netgear dg834pn router, which has been working fine for about a year now. but recently i am finding that the wireless signal will only work if your within a few feet of the router. that problem can be solved by resetting the router, but having to do that 3 times a week or so, is very annoying.

can anybody suggest a reason for this?

the router is connected by ethernet to my PPC g5 and over wireless to an ibook g4.

When routers start needing constant resetting it's a pretty good sign they're on the blink. Maybe fiddle with the broadcast channel a little, but in the long run you may have to start looking for good discounts on routers.

I think mad jew may be right in saying your router is about to die on you. But you could always try changing the channel and seeing if that does anything, as there may be some interference.
