Network Issue: Use Xbox & G5 iMac

hi.

i searched the forums and did not really found an answer, so i created this thread. maybe you guys could help out.

i have an xbox and i would like to use this xbox as a type of fileserver. i would love to put my digital music in the drive.

is there a way to network the xbox with my iMac? any link, informative comment would be greatly appreciated.

You have to mod the XBox and put Linux on it, then you can connect to the Xbox via FTP.

ok, so let me get this straight... is it not possible to connect a crossover cable between the mac and the modxbox to use the xbox hard drive?

I didn't say that, but you have to have the Xbox mod where you install Linux, unless I'm mistaken.
