I never thought I could get an iPad Pro because of the price. I figured if I saved up, maybe I could get an iPP by summer time. I wasn't eligible to get an iPP on my Verizon account because a late payment knocked me out of the running for their Device payment plan. I sold my android phone on my Verizon account to my friend and suddenly, I was eligible for their Device payment plan again!

I immediately put down pros and cons of having the iPP like the bill every month. I realized I might not get this chance again, so I went to my local Verizon store. I got the space gray iPad Pro with the awesome Incipio Faraday black case. I was so excited to hold it in my hands in the store! The sales guy was super nice and put the case on for me. He said employees don't get discounts but that his Apple Store friend was gonna get him an iPad Pro 30% off. I never thought I could afford an iPad Pro, so thank goodness for the device payment plan! I may be locked in for 2 years but the iPP is powerful enough, so I don't mind one bit!

I walked out of the Verizon store on cloud 9 lol. I'm typing this on my Space Gray iPad Pro 128GB Verizon & I'm in ❤️ with my iPad Pro!! I've owned every single iPad and nearly every iPhone. I am enjoying this more than my iPad Air 2 by far. Watching Netflix, Amazon prime, YouTube (videos in 1440p), Playbox HD, Moviebox HD look gorgeous on the huge screen!! Drawing apps are fun even though I don't have an apple pen yet. Adult coloring books are even more fun now. The Texture app which is Netflix for magazines looks superb! Gaming is on another level with the much bigger screen because I am seeing games with so much more detail. I'm a writer, so Notability is pure joy on my iPad Pro as well.

Like I mentioned. I'm rocking the Incipio Faraday cover, so the typing position is very comfortable with the onscreen keyboard. The 4 speakers are LOUD and amazing sounding. I watched Interstellar and it sounded fantastic! Games sound way better. Music is so fun to listen to on the iPad Pro too. The 4GB of ram makes everything super fast. I ❤️ it!!!! I'm extremely grateful and feel blessed to have my iPad Pro. I actually pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming! Haha

Congrats. I did the same thing with the payment plan, but on AT&T. I figure I'm going to use the iPad Pro for at least 3-4 years, so it will be long paid off by then.

Where'd you get your Faraday case?

Most will eventually get updated I am sure.

I'm hoping iOS 10 gets some more iPad specific features like iOS 9 started to do. It will only help the cause for 3rd party devs to finally update for iPad/iPad Pro's.

Like the OP said 1440p looks awesome on the Pro, but the app itself still hasn't been updated to optimize the UI for iPad Pro (it's just a blown up version of the regular iPad UI.) and not to forget it still lacks Split Screen/PiP. I believe it's the same API to the allow all of the proper scaled UI + the multitasking (I remember during the keynote they said that apps already using the auto scaling API will automatically support Split Screen and all that.)

On Topic though. The IPad Pro is a pretty amazing tablet. The screen, the speakers, the Pencil, it's sheer horsepower all make it so good.

The YouTube app is indeed optimized for PiP, but they require you to subscribe to their $10/month service in order to utilize the PiP feature. So I wouldn't expect them to change that to be free any time soon.

From the Verizon store. I asked if the sales guy could give me a discount and he gave me $15 off the $ 49 price.

The YouTube app, Tubex has the PIP option and works perfect on the iPP.
