    Thanks!

Try running WoW without Sunshafts and Liquid detail see if the new iMacs are plagued with the issues other Macs seem to be suffering.

"Right now, Sunshafts and Liquid Detail are sucking the life out of performance on most machines. Not all Macs are affected, but the vast majority of them are due to shoddy drivers. Blizzard's working on it."

    You are a god send!

FINALLY! Why did it take so long?!?

But being that these are on the 6770, and not the 6970, I'm thoroughly impressed. I can't wait for mine to arrive! Just another 4-5 weeks :\

Can you by any chance test other games as well? Maybe Starcraft 2, Civ V, Crysis 2 or maybe even something like an Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

Either way, thank you so much!

Keep a lot more coming if you can :D

This is the 6770? Dang, The 6970 should give much better performance then! Considering it has double the processors, 960 vs 480.

    Impressed

However doesnt the fps get even better in wow because you are using the cpu to record whats happening, and wow is very cpu intensive.

Also cant wait to how the 6970 will perform.

Also i had great sucess overclocking the 5750 in my 2010 model. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=987388

Cant wait to overclock the 6970m. Going to be long two weeks to wait:/

Yeah it runs better when i'm not recording, so if you like what you see, it'll be even better!

Sweet, those are great! Also, just a suggestion, turn vsync off when benchmarking so we can see the uncapped frame rate. Thanks again :D

seems like it's a bit worse than the 5850m from the 2010 iMac, but still, not bad for the base 27".

OS X, I believe. I read some of the video comments and one was under OS X, so I assume all are.

I don't want this thread to get lost in the flurry.

Zeov, could you do more videos? Or anyone else? Anyone wanna post videos of other games on the new iMac?

I'd do it, but mine doesn't come for like another 8 years :\

    Thanks, guys :D

Thank you very much Zeov! I'm liking what I see.

I would definitely like someone to post the results for the 6970m, to see how it compares with the base model.

Thanks for the videos! I can't wait. FedEx dropped mine off at work about 15 minutes ago, and it is sitting in the box behind me, taunting me. I did every upgrade but the SSD, which I really wanted, but was unwilling to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery.

What are your thoughts on overclocking the GPU? What would be a good resource to learn more about this for the 6970M 2GB card?

well i'm working on some videos of me jumping from 10 meter diving board, but i doubt that's not much of interests in here :)

in terms of testing the iMac, i'm thinking about testing these:

HoN (will need my friend's help here, i dont have it)

    GTA IV

    Sims 3

Crysis 2 (if i get a hold of a demo)

    Assasins Creed

StarCraft II (If my friend comes along and plays it on my computer, because i havent played it, but i do have the 10 day trial)

And i might buy Portal 2, me and my friends have been talking about it for a while, and it looks pretty neat!

If you guys found any demo you would like me to test through, just tell me :)

I play TF2 from time by time, and I am so glad that u showed this

For me, i need to play this in Windows..but i am sure that it will be not different!

Would love to see some GTA IV at native resolution and max settings. I remember seeing a video on YouTube where they were testing a 24" iMac with GTA IV at low to medium resolutions. Will be great to see how far we've come along.

Can you by any chance test Portal 2 or Black Ops?

    Thank you so much!

I'll be testing mine (you bet your arse) when I get my new one next week.

WoW is the one I'm curious about. My 2009 iMac would occasionally dip to around 20fps during 25 man RAIDS if there was something worth of the 'gong show' label going on. I want to see if this new GPU rectifies it, whether through increased GPU horsepower or the 4x VRAM compared to the 4850.

got a chair (actually it's more like a bar stool) and stacked some dvd's up to the right height, then i placed my iPhone 4 on the stack of dvd's and began recording myself gaming. (i had to sit all the way to the left so the camera could be in the right angle)

After that i had like 10-15 minutes of footage and cut it down in iMovie '11.

on the WoW video i used the in-game recording device for mac.
