Within a few days I will receive my first iMac. Now that Apple is using the new NVidia card, I am curious at the performance of it. How do games (Quake4, Doom3) perform on this new iMac and can all settings be put to the max? I am curious at your responses.

well, my 1st gen macbook (see sig for more details) runs quake 4 fine. Not in all max, but i can't complaint about the the FPS-graphics ratio :)

No offence, but the GMA 950 inside the MacBooks can't be compared to a true grfx card.

nVidia's card inside the new iMac is the 8800 GS. It seems to be only a slightly slower performer than the 8800 GT found in the Mac Pro. :)
Doom 3, Quake 4 will run easily on this card. Settings to the max!

Keep an eye on http://www.barefeats.com/ for all comparisons with other iMacs and Mac Pro's.
