New Mbp, Hard Drive And Ram Upgrade...worth It For This Price?

    You can get a better deal on the RAM.

    You could get two of these:

    and the total would be less than half what the Crucial kit cost. I'm sure you could probably find an even better price if you look around.

    The fact that it is "value ram" isn't a problem since it is the right speed. It is CL5, but CL4 would only be about 1% faster. Most comparable ram is CL5, and CL4 chips can be hard to find. Brand doesn't matter too much as long as they are reputable and offer a lifetime warranty.

    The link you posted is for DDR2 Ram, he has a new unibody Macbook which takes DDR3 Ram.

    I'm in the US but I'd say that is a good price for crucial, thats its 118 USD, and I payed 124USD, plus you can't be the quality, crucial has very solid ram been running for a month no problems.
