Still far less debilitating than alcohol. And I don't think teens should be consuming weed or hootch.

There's a time a place for everything and it's called "college."

I think you guys missed the last line of the article where the research states: “If I were to design a substance that is bad for college students, it would be marijuana.” More studies show that the brain still develops throughout the early-mid 20s. While I don't think it should be illegal, this type of information should be readily available and easily accessible to people willing to smoke marijuana. Similar to cigarette packs which have to show diseased lungs.

Alcohol has nothing to do with this study though.

While I wouldn't call myself a pothead, I smoked my fair share of the stuff back when I was a teenager, and

B.S. I smoked grass all though college and dropped-out with a solid 1.9 GPA. :D

Seriously, introducing any non-essential compound into your body probably isn't a great thing for your health.

You have to wonder if the persons that ended up "addicted" to pot didn't already have -- err, "problems" -- that they were trying to escape by "self medicating".

Oddly, the increase in homeless people seem to be much younger in age. I thought opening all those legal recreational pot dispensaries and legal growing operations were supposed to create jobs.

They have. The cannabis industry in Colorado has created at least 10,000 jobs. Can't find any recent articles but those go numbers come from a few found from over the summer.

Do you know what influx means? Your article is saying that homeless people are traveling to Colorado because pot is legal there, not that pot is making them homeless. Nice try! :D

"Nice try?" Really, did I say that pot was making them homeless? No, I didn't. What I said was that Colorado seems to be having a bigger homeless problem now that recreational marijuana is legal. If it is caused by people moving into Colorado for the legal pot, that is still a problem for Colorado.

You also tried to imply that the cannabis industry wasn't creating any jobs because some more homeless kids are moving to Colorado because pot is legal there, which is clearly false as at minimum over 10,000 new jobs have been created.

Apparently, not enough jobs are being created for all the potheads moving there.

More like the jobs being created are much higher skill than a bunch of bums could do. They should go apply at Walmart.

Maybe you should reread the article because you seem to have ignored the sections that don't agree with your assessment of the situation.

Yeah, we prefer to be called "recreational marijuana users", but we're a very politically correct people....:D
