okay we have read more then one thread about ram tests.

In fact i tested 3 types of 8gb ram sticks for the server mac mini.

We have found out that kingston 2 x 4gb ram kits both the 1600 and the 1866 work in the new mac minis with full clocking.

this kit works it is 2 x 4gb at 1600

they both increase speed for graphics. I want to start a thread about servers and base models.

TEST results for either ram set from kingston playing real games.

fps rates for medium settings on two or three modern games.

also if the lcd is 1920 by 1200 or 1600 by 900. Any suggestions on three or four games and how

to set this test up are welcome.

okay I will try to fix the links this is

the 2 x 4gb 1600 ram from kingston. 79 for the pair of sticks it is an amazon link

    http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Modu...2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1317938752&sr=1-2

the 2 x 4gb 1866 ram from kingston 129 for the pair it is an amazon link

    http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-Modu...4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1317938845&sr=1-4

we need some volunteers or data on two or three games with the server mini and the 2.3 mini.

I can send a set of 2 x 4gb gskill ram to a volunteer he can run 3 games with the gSkill and 3 games with the kingston.

I have an extra set of these

    http://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-204-P...8?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1317939086&sr=1-8

I am not a gamer so I am not the best one to do the testing for this but I can help out by lending a volunteer the right ram to test against. Please let me know if these links are good

Philipma, I want to thank you for your obsessive data collection on the new Minis. I love learning this type of stuff - it is what makes forums worth reading.
