Hey everyone, just recently got the Mac Mini 2012.

    I have two questions...

    1) I have read about an HDMI issue, and have been afraid to try this on my HDTV using HDMI. I read somewhere that the issue can break the mini! Is this true? I don't mind trying it out to see if works, but I am afraid it will break my computer.

    2) Does this thing run on a battery? I had let it go to sleep, and thought I had shut it down because it was so quiet, and wouldn't respond to the mouse, etc. I unplugged it, and the next morning after plugging it back in, it resumed sleep. Didn't boot up, but was right where I left off the previous night.

    thanks everyone

    1. As said before, NO.

    2. On Mac, when you sleep, it dumps the ram to a sleep image file first, then goes to what you think of as sleep. That way, if there is a power loss(like unplugging), it effectively hibernates. When you plugged it back in and turned it back on, it pulled from the sleep image, like waking from hibernation. Also, when you sleep your Mac, it is perfectly normal to be completely dead quiet.
