The Kiwis have it good when it comes to keeping airline passengers entertained, while we in the US (with the occasional exception of Southwest Airlines) are stuck with no-frills.

They first started the deal with having their pilots and cabin crew perform their inflight safety video (very tastefully) naked..

Then they topped that by simply getting Betty White..

Then they topped that with .. you guessed it, Lord of the Rings..

Now... Men in Black.

Watch Air New Zealand's 'Men in Black' safety video

Air New Zealand has combined its love of quirky safety videos with the nation's love of rugby union football to create a 'Men in Black' video clip starring members of the country's 'All Blacks' rugby squad.

The airline worked with Sony Pictures on the clip, and while there are no cameos from Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones, American actor Rip Torn reprises his role as Chief of the MIB team.

Click below to watch the Men in Black: Safety Defenders video, will be progressively rolled out across Air New Zealand's fleet from today.

Before that, of course, came a series of famous safety videos inspired by The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit: beginning with An Unexpected Briefing, which has attracted more than 12 million global online views.

This culminated in the aptly-named The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made, which starred Elijah Wood (Frodo Baggins), Dean O’Gorman (Fili the Dwarf) and Sylvester McCoy (Radagast).

There was even a companion 'behind the scenes' video!

I've included all 3. Enjoy!

I experienced the 2012 rugby championship in Afghanistan with some 5-eyes, including Kiwis and Ozzies. While it was fun to watch, the game of rugby does nothing for me but I do admire their team loyalty. They reminded me of Packers fans.

We are very loyal.

Great videos; thanks for posting them.

While I am not a major fan of rugby, one cannot but admire the professionalism and sheer élan of the All Blacks.

When I was an undergrad at a D-1 college back in the sixties, many of the football players played a little rugby. They thought they were acceptable in that game. Then the All-Blacks came visiting. I was at the game. Talk about slaughter. One of my football friends said they had absolutely no idea that the game could be played like that. No idea at all. It was pretty much like a decent HS American football team vs. an NFL team.

At their best, when everything comes together for them, very little on the planet can touch the All Blacks.
