thinking my sig is missing a brand new next gen iPhone silver

May have to look ahead into q2 2018

Hope uk providers avoid +50 per month though unlikely

Certain it’s my next tech purchase though avoiding early adopter status

Time to enjoy iPad 10.5 meanwhile

Ya know, I've purchased a new iPhone the day/weekend they've been released, every year since the very first iPhone. I've never once regretted those purchases, nor do I personally know anyone else that has. I've never been bitten by 'early adopter status' and am curious why there are so many people for whom this is a very real factor in their decision making.

The answer is 50 per month

Choosing to avoid early adopter status is sometimes a financial decision.

Potential to make considerable savings by waiting a little while before purchasing tech at launch

My recently delivered iPad. Pro 10.5 maybe gets me early adopter status and takes up a slice of my tech budget
