I'm a WinPC user, but I've been eyeballing getting a Mac, thanks in large part to the cool features that Tiger has introduced.
With that being said, I didn't realize that the dashboard exists completely independent of the primary desktop. Maybe its just me, but it seems like Apple missed the boat on this one. The ability to have a calendar widget (for example) on my desktop as I'm working on a document seems incredibly useful. I'd hate having to switch back-and-forth between my desktop and my dashboard to use widgets.
Has anyone heard why Apple made this decision? Or, better yet, tell me I'm wrong and that you can use widgets on your desktop.
