I have Wi-Fi calling enabled. I have AT&T and usually when I swipe down from the top in the upper left corner it says “AT&T WiFi”. Well I’d guess since I updated the iOS yesterday I no longer see the “WiFi” it just says “AT&T”. Anyone else seeing this?

Mine says VZW Wi-Fi. Are you sure you are the iPhone is utilizing Wi-Fi calling? Some carriers will prioritize cellular if the signal strength is good (liability for emergency serves to find you easier).

That said turn it off and back on. You are required to have an address in the emergency field that will pop up....Well the cellular provider is required to have an address for you per government regulations. If its not there Wifi calling might not work...

turned it on and off and made sure emergency address was up to date. Still nothing. I guess I could try turning off cellular and seeing if I can make a call with WiFi

If you have poor reception, get an AT&T CellBooster. It creates a 4G mini tower in your house and tunnels it through your internet connection. Much, much more reliable than WiFi calling. It replaces the 3G MicroCell. This is much much better. If you had a 3G MicroCell, AT&T will likely send you a CellBooster for free. If not, I'm sure if you email the AT&T CEO (Stankey, which you can find his email address through a search engine), they'll probably send you one for free if you complain enough.

I believe that should force it to wifi calling. If it comes on then its likely your reception with your carrier being 'too good'. I'm not confident ATT is like that. Verizon seems to have always preferred Wifi over cellular, but through conversation on here and some research a couple carriers would use cellular unless they absolutely had to use Wifi.

No surprise I wasn't able to find any data such as RSSI or anything like for ATT. This is all I found which IMO makes it sound like it would prefer Wifi.

Do you have the ability or opportunity to try a different wifi network? My previous employers router wouldn't allow wi-fi calling.

AT&T's Wi-Fi Calling only turns on when the cell service is poor enough (cellular is prioritized). If you have full bars it usually won't activate.

Wi-Fi calling is not working on either of our iPads. Both sets of iPhones/iPads are on the latest OS. AT&T plan
Was working last week
