Wow, you can bet this wouldn't have happened if Donald Trump hadn't defeated the neocons and the blood-thirsty interventionist herself, Hillary Clinton.

It won't last with Trump. He'll invade somewhere, he won't be able to help himself.

In fairness Trump couldn't invade other countries to make them into his own image .... There isn't enough hair pieces in the world to accommodate that fete .....

Unless you're able to tap into an alternative universe, you have no idea what would have happened. But bias noted.

Well, since Hillary campaigned on ousting Assad and killing a lot of Syrians...

Funny that the Left are now the apologists for war, imperialism, colonialism, and hegemony.

You didn't make a hypothetical statement. You made a definitive statement. You made an absolute statement. Statements like that require some type of reasoning.

I made an assertion, based on my bias and view. Much the same way as Trump has asserted Mexico will pay for the wall, much the same as aaronvan's assertions in post 13, and 5...... yet I don't see you questioning these?

And no, I'm not going to form an argument to back it up, its what I think. I hope he proves me wrong, but I doubt he will.... If you don't like my view, thats your issue, not mine.

No fly zone over Syria, removal of assad, resistance in Crimea. Three recipes for disaster that Hillary Clinton promoted.
Now, said this we certainly agree that she is not the president so whatever she wanted to do is now superfluous.

It's refreshing to note that a British Prime Minister has called wars in Iraq and Afghanistan 'Invasions', unlike what we are fed on this side of the pond, 'it's a noble war on terror'. Now the real question is, who is to be put on the guillotine (war crimes) for invading other countries.

Itchy finger on the nuclear button, hard to resist. I am sorry I should say 'nukular' instead of nuclear for George W. to follow.

For some reason I thought Bush and Bush Sr were on the right with starting wars and all that, maybe not.

It also makes it impossible to move forward as a society and address any of the (legitimate) concerns of conservatives.

Surely whatever your political leaning, this decision is a good one though ... For too long the west has stepped in without appreciating the repercussions it's actions could reap ...
