No More RSS option in Mail?

Apologies in advance if this question shows how loooooong it's been since I upgraded my Mac, and consequently, OS X. In fact, only a couple of days ago, I went from using my 10-yr-old Mac mini with Lion to this brand, spanking new MacBook Pro with Sierra.

Although I love the Touch Bar and so many other goodies, I do miss the ability to pick up RSS feeds directly through Mail. Is there something off with my version or is it true that RSS is no longer supported in Mail?

Is anyone aware of a simple alternative? I too miss this feature!
There are a lot of stand alone RSS apps out there you could use. Vienna is one that is free and works well. Or you could sign up for a free Feedly.com account and just read your RSS feeds there in a web browser.

[doublepost=1523295858][/doublepost]None of them even close to having RSS feeds in your email.
It was stupid to remove that feature.
I think 99% of people would disagree with you, and say it was stupid to put the feature in Mail to begin with. It never worked worth a darn to begin with and was nearly completely feature-starved.

To begin with we don't know the exact percentage of people that didn't need RSS feeds in Mail so to claim that 99% didn't use it is a bit of exaggeration. It's not important at the end of the day. I, for example, used it routinely in Lion. Since I upgraded to Mavericks and HighSierra I sorely miss it because it was very convenient and handy to have everything in one place and Mail is one of those apps that run 24/7. That's the point and I do agree that throwing out this feature was stupid.
