No Shared section in Finder sidebar

I have had an irritating problem for the last few days as the Shared section in the Finder sidebar is missing. I have tried rebooting & restarting Finder without success. I can connect with Screen Sharing from Finder > Go > Connect to Server

Mojave 10.14.6

Any suggestions?

Yes. Checked & unchecked & checked again several times but nothing changes.

I'm wondering if some preference file has got corrupt. I tried deleting ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist & com.apple.sidebarlists.plist but none of the sidebar preferences changed.

Mysteriously a few weeks ago this just started working again as it had previously. Maybe there was an update that fixed the issue? Anyway I'm glad to have it restored.

Have you found a fix for this? I'm having the same issue.

As I noted in my reply of 9th March it started working again just as mysteriously as it had stopped working.
