No Sound on vid

Hi guys, I have a a macbook pro 4gig, when using the onboard vid camera there is a picture but no sound, this has just occured as I have some vids with sound.
What has happened or what have I done.
Have I turned off the sound somehow?
Any ideas would be very helpful.

what exactly do you mean with: using the onboard vid. camera. Do you mean you record videos with. And if so, with what program (e.g. quictkime). Or do you use your webcam to "chat" with others.

Hi, thanks for the reply, I just realized that the on board mike was switched off in the system prefs.
Don't know how that happened but it's working fine just now.
