I think lil Kim just saw a bootleg copy of Olympus Has Fallen and thought, "it could happen."

What are the differences between today's declaration and one made last Saturday (March 30)? Their official KCNA news agency declared last Saturday:

Surely they must realize that such an action would be like a mosquito landing right under your palm?

Why do people think it will be delivered by missile? I see two NK subs have gone missing today (lost tracking). Perhaps they are carrying something. Suitcase? Dirty bomb?

Good point. I hope for all of us that they don't do something so stupid. It will cause the annihilation of North Korea, massive destruction to South Korea, and it will be the end of liberty in the West.

Don't they realize any attack on their part is basically giving the world permission to turn their entire country into a parking lot?

Well at least that may be an improvement over what it is now.

He's probably banking on the fact that the world knows that outside of the palaces there the North Korean government basically has an entire population of human shields and outside countries will think twice before striking because wiping out a bunch of cast members from their little Truman Show won't even make the North Korean leaders blink.

Also, I think that nothing gets serious until NK starts moving supplies and troops.

Perhaps. My worry is that they will try to provoke an incident by shelling across the border. How many people can they kill and get away with it?

I have been buying up desert east of the fault lines for decades; really ever since Superman. It seemed like one of those investments that would pay off someday. I'm kinda hoping this somehow manages to cause the cesspool that is southern california to fall off into the ocean.

    :)

Presumably you're aware that the U.S. turned the entire country into a parking lot once before.

Nothing scares me more than a long, hard Taepodong missile shooting its hot load all over the US.

    You mean like this?

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/na...rth-missilebre93301s-20130403,0,6720083.story

I think Lil' Kim has talked himself into a corner. If he backs down, he'll be overthrown internally due to perceived weakness. If he follows through with a missile launch, things will get ugly in a hurry (and NK will likely be on the losing end of those things). His lack of respect by the world community is the wild card - combined with his youth, I fear it will lead to a serious miscalculation by the DPRK military (and get this party started in a hurry).
