Not all of my photos uploading to ICloud

I just got a new RMBP. I have added all of my photos to IPhoto. I have about 3000. But only about 900 of them were uploaded onto photo stream (the most recent) and not the others, only these now appear on my IPhone. I have looked all over in the settings but no luck. I have also tried dragging over into photo stream the missing photos or album, this does not work.

Any help will be appreciated, Thanks!

How many photos did you already have in the cloud if you had an iDevice?

I had about 200, these were just ones taken with the iPhone itself. Although, I just added a brand new album by dragging it over to IPhoto, uploaded no problem and onto the photo. It is just the existing ones in iPhoto that are already in IPhoto that is the problem. Don't really want to delete and re add, have added destination, face into etc.

Yea have done, many times, its been an issue for about a week.
When I drag them into it, it says that they are uploading but do not get added to the album itself.

Photo Stream has a cap of 1000 photos and 30 days. See the FAQ for more information.
