Was watching a little article Harvard did on Media reporting; Negative vs. Positive in regards to the President.

    IMG_5025.PNG IMG_5026.PNG

We cannot tell what is fake, real, as a result of Trump himself or some other source.
    Still, it is disconcerting.
It does support somewhat his claim that the media is against him like no other President.

Will add more as I ponder this ... ;)

Trump got the presidency he deserves. Elections have consequences.

I imagine Crooked Hillary's days are quite pleasant by comparison.

    To use a simplified analogy...

If I go sucker punch someone who'd been my friend for the last year or so, should I be surprise if they don't have much positive to say about me from the jump? If I then spend my time from that point whining about that friend complaining about me sucker punching them, should I be surprised if they aren't taken with me? Will it also help my case if I keep them from doing their job, because I am mad at them for not liking me as much as I do?

Analogies aside, has any president intentionally antagonized & demonized the press as much as this President?

No, the ones that Trump thinks are swell and great leaders usually just shoot the press that doesn't like them.

Do you think that just maybe the negative coverage is because of all the negative/crazy things coming out of Trump's White House?

Because he is an incompetent idiot like no other President.

I think things are very fair. Look at your 100 day chart. Look at how much bad stuff there was about Bill Clinton. Because his first 100 days were a mess too. But not like this. Trump has set a new standard for chaos and dysfunction. He hasn't even filled a lot of the positions that he could have by now.

In your first chart, even Fox had more negative coverage of Trump than positive, and they are in the tank for him! This all points to Trump being the problem here, not the media's reporting of him. Trump is his own worst enemy.

Here's another possibility. I like to call it "reality".

According to the news piece, they looked strictly and the output, not the trigger nor the originating source.
There was a brief discussion on how much was DT, MSM, Dems, and others.

Idiot? Maybe. I'll wait till I see what his term or terms accomplish. We have had some horrendous presidents. He just may rank right up there.

He has. When you look at reporting on Trump or Trump topics you see advocacy instead of reporting by most MSM. That is scary.

I supposed in some areas you could consider him an overachiever.

    Relevance?

Because if that somehow is statement of 45's successes, than his positives & successes are an equally low number.

I'm sure the mainstream media would love to report some good news coming out of the White House.

    Is there any?

Let's not forget that the folks who work in the media also live in this country and are affected by the actions of the White House. I doubt they're thrilled about all the bad news they have to report day after day...

    1. Exponential increase of "Colorful metaphor" usage in Oval Office
    2. More jobs and increased consumption of ice cream
    3. Latest "Leak:" Ivanka about to expand into men's products beginning with Jared's "Don't give me no flak" jacket and full Steve Bannon and The Donald make-up lines.
    4. Newspaper sales up; CNN & MSNBC ratings up.
    5. Coke sales up (production and canning); marketing costs down; new "Coke button" product will be a high margin hit. You betcha "As Seen on TV."
    6. Jeffrey Lord and others gainfully employed.
    7. Late Night comedy programming seeing revitalized relevance. Even anchors getting in on it: "If [Trump] took a dump on his desk, you'd defend it." -- Anderson Cooper to Jeffrey Lord. Just now.
    8. White House Glee Club upgraded to White House Face-Palming Club
    9. Press Briefing ratings through the roof; "Sean Spicer is the Fonzie of our age," raves Rex Reed. Can a Julie Taymor musical be far behind?

Which news organization was friends with Trump and he sucker punched?

This ought to be good for a laugh.

Let's not forget there's rating to be had and the motivation to be one who write the piece that finally brings down Trump.

I'm not sure if you're including CNN in your group who wants to write something positive, but there's no evidence of that.

The argument is that all news organizations 45 loved during the campaign, it's when he won the primary and the press began calling him out on his claims that they became the 'dishonest media'. So, while he was running for the nomination most new organizations were his friends.

I've been at a loss how some forget how much 45 loved any & all media before he won the primary.

The question is which ones were his friend and he sucker punched. Just provide the call signs for them.
