Noticed a scratch on the inside of the M1 Air screen. Apple refused to replace it..but..

I noticed when looking a the screen from its left there is a 3 inch line going at an angle . It does not show up in front and in white backgrounds or grey colors. I only notice it FAINTLY when i see it from the left hand side when the screen off or the led is black. Apple genius also confirmed this is not on outside and is on the inside so it doesnt look accidental but a flaw. the store however refused to replace it saying it is not a flaw that hinders operation or viewing. The Apple genius guy did say with a wink and nod that I still have 120 days to manually add Apple Care+ thru the Apple store only for the next 365 days. I think he was hinting to add it then come back and have it replaced?

I'm curious why you didn't simply ask him if it would be repaired or replaced under Applecare+ instead of wondering what or even if he was hinting anything specific.

It's possible that it could be repaired or replaced with AC+, and its cost might be worth it to you. Maybe someone who had the exact same issue will chime in.
