now that apple tv has software airtunes server, will it be hacked to run on os x?

    do you think we will see the software airtunes server no that it is in the Apple TV? Probably pretty easy to rip it off and run it on any mac.

    I think that happened when it was first released last March.

    yeah, they hacked the backrow to run on a regular mac. I am sure that will happen again. I am wondering if they will hack just the airtunes server. It may be a part of the new backrow though.

    That would be awesome! I would love to be able to stream music through any other Mac. I have 3 Airport Expresses in the house. When we have parties we play music through all of them. The AppleTv new features I am able to get rid of two of the Airport Expresses. If this software becomes a reality I could alleviate the third one as we have an iMac in that same room where the last one is. Quick find someone smart to make this!
