Well certainly not since the early 90s when Wayne LaPierre took the reins.

Nothing like a little monday morning gun debate to start the week out right.

We all know how liberals feel about the power of the government over the individual, but our Constitution is all about the rights of the people being paramount, and the limitation of the powers of government.

Yeah... and that's why Conservatives in government are passing laws that:
    1. restrict those legally allowed to vote by requiring them to get VoterIDs, which goes against a strict limitation of that same government, and
    2. telling the individual when they can or can not abort the unborn fetus in their body, regardless of circumstances leading them to their pregnancy.
Yeah.. got to love that power of the government over the individual that you blame liberals about, but say nothing about your lot doing the same.

As mentioned earlier, Pot. Kettle. BLACK.

The NRA has a powerful political lobby, doing the will of it's dues paying members.

That is how our democracy works, like it or not.

I'm very pro-Voter ID. Pot, kettle, black meet Red, White, and Blue.

I'm not a huge fan of the NRA but they're winning me back. California laws are getting more and more ridiculous.

No, they are doing the will of the gun makers not the NRA members.

The NRA has gone from gun rights to lobbying force for gun companies.

I posted this in another thread, but this one is more appropriate.

I am beginning to think the left's opposition to guns is less about mass shootings and more about they don't want an armed citizenry who will be able to challenge the government. They want the government to be all-powerful and we as armed citizen could get in the way of that.

The whole point of the 2A was to provide the citizens with some form of resistance to an oppressive government so the left does not want us to be able to fight back against the government they love.
