Would the NSA apologists like to defend this one?

I would assume it tracks all the above, doesn't care what email address you use or name.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a nice little query that pulls the different information and puts it together for them.

This is pretty scary no? Damn that is a lot of info to capture!

This basically makes a website's privacy policy null and void.

That's why they apparently only keep the last few days worth of data, unless they deem it "relevant". So if your wife works at the NSA, it's not enough to delete the browser history to stay out of trouble :p

How many people have access to this data and could someone with a grudge use it to go after people.

I'm not in the know, so I don't know... unless you meant my browser history? :p

Is this even anything new? In 2006 it got leaked that AT&T was letting the NSA have full access to everything routed through its internet servers. (link) I guess this shows that Obama didn't stop doing what Bush was, and maybe shows a bit more of the scope of the program...

Scary? More like obscene. Scary is how few people seem to care.

This is why the NSA is allowed to do what ever they please, people don't care enough to stop it.

Or it shows how irrelevant the President really is -- just a puppet to appease the populace and put on a mask of 'democracy'.

It seems to be a hell of a big deal that's rumbling on and on. Snowdon leaving Moscow airport is currently the #2 story on the BBC behind the Ohio kidnapper verdict and is the #2 most shared story.

Possibly, but I still think that if Obama wanted to he could stop these kinds of programs from happening.
