    From your link
Sure since there is no evidence for the rumor it shouldn't be repeated, but you are really reaching to make the connection between a reporter that has nothing to do with Washington or politics and the media's ability to provide fair coverage.

On a tour of Italy, Argentine First Lady Eva Peron complained to the navy officer who was escorting her that someone in the crowd had yelled the word "Whore!" at her.

    The officer smiled and said:

"Si, Senora. But you must remember - I haven't been on a ship in twenty years, and yet they still call me Admiral."

Trying to figure out who or what you are addressing here. A reporter for the NYT just called the First Lady a hooker. Can you imagine if an anchor at Fox News had called Michelle Obama a hooker?

Yeh he apologized for a rumour that he called her a hooker, that's it.

Calling anybody a hooker is certainly tasteless, but I'm struggling to see what this has to do with partisan/non-partisan coverage.

This was a reporter who literally said something out loud - he didn't write an article, or infer in any official capacity that she was actually a hooker. We don't even know the context of the conversation. And you think reporters in Washington never called Hillary (or any other woman in DC) a bitch out loud?

This is kind of snowflakey, to be honest.

Especially if the same people who are (faux) outraged had no problem calling Madonna a whore after that whole blow the white house up thing.

Can you read? The reporter made the remark as a person, on his own time, not in print as a reporter. He was chastised by the paper anyway.

So when a judge mutters the n-word before entering court and hearing a case of a black person im sure you'd be fine because he hasn't shown any biases while he was in the court room.

Should he have apologized for something else?

Not sure what your point is?
    --- Post Merged, Feb 14, 2017 ---
But the person in question wasn't even a political reporter, according to your article.

So, I guess you're saying that the Breitbart guy probably shouldn't be advising the President. On anything. Because, you know...

Can you? Please indicate where anything to the contrary was said. He is a reporter for the NYT whether he is on the job or not. You don't get to hang up your hat and say whatever you want simply because you are off the clock.
    --- Post Merged, Feb 14, 2017 ---
The reply I quoted suggested that this never happened, the NYT reporter admitted and apologized for his comments. I wonder if he will continue to work at this rag of a "newspaper".

Snowflakey? Mount Everest doesn't have this many snowflakes.

When I read the thread title, I thought it meant that the NYT published something about Melania being a whore. Of course, that's what the OP wanted you to believe.

Again, this was not part of a report. It was a personal comment made to someone. So long as you're able to differentiate between a personal comment versus something professionally reported, then you're welcome to be offended as much as you want.

So, do you think your employer should be on the hook for some of the things you've said here?

Again, where was it stated otherwise? Do you think this is appropriate? Why do you hate women?
    --- Post Merged, Feb 14, 2017 ---
Who said anything about the NYT being on the hook? I simply commented on the caliber of reporter the NYT is hiring.

I will give a damn, when someone calls her a gorilla or ape in public, as was done to Michelle Obama numerous of times. Where was the so called women's unity then?

Context is key here. I was not saying Hillary provided sexual favours, but rather was referring to political "whoring" ie selling out.

Anyone that works for Fox News call her an ape? Nope.
    --- Post Merged, Feb 14, 2017 ---
Nope. Does show how the left tries to twist words out of context though.
    --- Post Merged, Feb 14, 2017 ---
Two replies so far addressing the actual issue, none of the replies denouncing calling Melania a hooker, new records

Well, then I would suggest that your company look at the caliber of person it is hiring...

Of course...reading your response to citizenzen above, I'm pretty sure this is jus another bait post. "Why do you hate women?":rolleyes::rolleyes:
