One can only hope that Obama is not reversing the Bush administration's position on this simply because they haven't had time to adequately review the case to ensure that state secrets wouldn't be revealed if this lawsuit proceeds. But on it's face, this isn't a Good Thing to see from an administration that promised more openness and transparency.

A vague hint of a thread criticising Obama gets them awake.

Obama is really starting to disappoint me very much. I voted for change not more of the same.

That's completely and utterly unacceptable. Having your torture activities aired isn't a risk to national security. It's an embarassment to the nation.

    Unbelievable.

Just when I thought I could let this year's ACLU membership lapse.

were tapping your phones, were flying you around the world, and were holding you without charging you or letting you have a trial. I wonder if anyone has told the state dept the secret is out.:D
