The story seems to be at the "we're the first to report it because we put a headline on msnbc.com but we haven't written an article yet" mode.

In a sad sort of way an Obama win might create Secret Service jobs... ...

Edit: Oh here's a more informative link now...

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27405681/

It sounds like this is "old news" but the files have been opened to the public as of today. The people have already had one court appearance.

I bet it's not the only one, thought. I hope they manage to thwart the others, too.

This is really messed up. Why don't these people grow up?!

Honestly though, I have been fearing this, Obama has a really huge threat and even more after he gets elected to office.

hopefully the secret service stops all assasination attempts.

As callous as this might sound, I hope that any attempt on Obama's life results in a secret service agent shooting the would be assassin, live and in HD, right in the head. This would be a stark warning to any other f***ing idiot that wants to try it.

Yup. That's what's totally wrong. That's what happened to Lincoln, JFK, MLK.

Damn religious racists right wingers and these neo-nazis. I'm ok with expressing religion but assassinations?! They are the people who should be deported, put in Guantanomo or whatever. I'm okay with that.

I agree. The public's viewing of the killing of a suspect is always a deterent.

Don't forget Robert Kennedy as well.

Just when a great leader in our country rises, somehow the radical right wing in this country tears them down.

I like how MSNBC is treating it as it just happened, when in reality they were brought up on charges today. Thiese guys sound like a couple of morons. If they can't even rob a gun store how did they plan to kill anyone.

    disgusting bastards.

While Obama is certainly very inspiring and a step in the right direction, he has yet to prove his "greatness"....

I wouldn't go so far as to call Obama a "great leader" but hey who knows right?

Then these people show up and destroy that hope.

Wow, I'm glad it was thwarted.

    This was interesting:

I had to look it up. Of course this post will probably make me get made fun of again for defending the idea that the term Bush Doctrine had been used ambiguously to refer to different things at different times.

Two skinhead type teenagers killed a lot of innocent people at Columbine.

These wackos should be taken seriously .

JFK was probably a nice guy, same with Francis Ferdinand. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that these idiots were probably looking a tad beyond the charisma.

While I agree they should be taken seriously, there's a difference between being racially motivated in doing something like this, and being bullied buy various cliques at school to the point where they responded.

Not that I agree with Klebold and company's actions, but just to note there is a difference. They could have been talked down/out of it. People can't change their skin colour.

How many Bush plots have been thwarted?

He's catching up to and 8 year President quick, and he is just running for the job.

    Really sad.

I'd have to disagree. I'd be fearful that such a response would only fuel their paranoia.
