Obama team announces new rules on lobbyists

    Good for him. Lobbyists are 95% of what's wrong with this country.

    Yeah... problem is, this is sort of a backtracking on Obama's part, not a step forward.

    Of course, he said that when he was president, lobbyists would not find work in his WH, so this doesn't technically break that promise. At least not until January rolls around.

    Something tells me if they're there now, they'll be in the WH come January.

    Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. :rolleyes:

    It seems as though it's a statement of tolerating their presence until he gets in office. If he doesn't then give them the boot, then I'll start being concerned.

    I reread it the article. Yikes I totally misunderstood what it was saying. :eek:

    I guess that makes sense.

    This article seems to suggest that lobbyists will only be allowed in the transition.

    Actually, since some time in 2007, his rule was a two-year rule. It seems to have been reduced to one year, at least for the transition.
