It's very sad but true.
why would REBELS/INSURGENTS/TERRORIST call Moscow for help? Obama had no problems arming the REBELS/INSURGENTS/TERRORIST.
maybe next time they call they should simply hang the hell up.
did the Cartels also call Obama for guns?
Well, yeah, the U.S. is the most powerful and resourceful country on the planet. People are going to call you, not Moscow.
Just like during the Cold War when the Soviet Union was a powerful country mirroring the U.S. they got calls for help too.
Is this a good thing that we are to 'lead' the world? I for one dont like it...
How many times are you going to post the same thing?
until people get it.
You continue to misrepresent. There is no evidence that the U.S. has directly supplied IS with anything. They have supplied the Iraqi army and various "moderate" groupings in Syria, and many of these weapons have ended up in IS' hands, which is deeply unfortunate, but not a result of being directly supplied. If you continue to broadcast this canard, you are displaying a partisan posture which ignores the facts in favour of a fabricated conflation.
At least one, maybe more. Hang up on those moochers, man.
Sticking our noses into other countries affairs. That's what makes us broke. But hey, that's how we roll.
Who's helping us fix OUR economy? Who's helping us fix OUR infrastructure? Lets get our house in order first; fix our roads, fix our healthcare system, fix our economy.
moderate rebels, now that is funny as hell.
did those moderate terrorist rebel groups pass a back ground check? nice partisan posture you have there
look, the "moderates" are joining ISIS. oops
You will have noticed that I put moderate in quotes. When rival groups are being slaughtered, defections will increase, obviously. The middle ground is hard to hold in a civil war, especially with Saudis and Qataris pouring equipment in to arm their proxies. What arms were those? Could they be US-sourced?
more of a reason NOT to ARM ANYONE, what the hell did Syria do that warranted the U.S arming REBELS with AL-QUEDA ties?
no such thing as a "moderate" rebel/terrorist.
Tell that to George Washington.
According to pro-gun arguments, if we arm them, they'll become more peaceful and polite.
different cultures, then again you knew that, even here I am not proposing arming anyone who does not wish to practice that RIGHT.
lol. this is America. how are we going to make more money for defense contractors if we aren't arming groups and starting more wars in the sandbox? That's been the US M.O. since WWII when the people in charge realized how rich they could get off war.
After the Iraq war was started, special emphasis was placed on using the term "the long war", in both military circles as well as pundits on TV. The same thing is happening again with ISIS. It will take "a long time" to defeat ISIS, etc..
My favorite assertion, as of late, is that "we underestimated ISIS".
Yeah..... The government is tapped into everything we say and do, and just didn't notice the ISIS buildup from the get-go.
ISIS was allowed to happen to keep the defense industry "jobs program" going.
Eisenhower warned the American people about the military-industrial complex. No one heeded that warning.
maybe you should rethink the point you're trying to make, it comes off petty and silly
Maybe if I ever get a better education. Till then this is as good as I can make it
Pretty much it.
what? do you expect him to actually go with facts instead of faith?
Knowing what you need is half the battle.
US President Barack Obama wants everyone to know "how we roll": The US always takes the lead in international crises.
In a "60 Minutes" interview Sunday evening, Obama was asked why the US was contributing such a significant portion of the military coalition against the jihadist group known as the Islamic State, or ISIS. Obama responded by arguing that other countries were not stepping up.
"When trouble comes up anywhere in the world, they don't call Beijing, they don't call Moscow. They call us. That's the deal," he quipped.
When CBS' Steve Kroft pressed Obama on the relatively small contributions from some of the US' coalition partners, Obama insisted such arrangements were expected.
"That's always the case. That's always the case. America leads. We are the indispensable nation," he said. "We have capacity no one else has. Our military is the best in the history of the world."
Obama pointed to past US humanitarian efforts after other countries were hit by environmental disasters.
"When there's a typhoon in the Philippines, take a look at who's helping the Philippines deal with that situation," he said. "When there's an earthquake in Haiti, take a look at who's leading the charge helping Haiti rebuild. That's how we roll. That's what makes us Americans."
That is not strictly true the people of Східна Україна (East Ukraine) certainly rang Moscow.
Till then ill settle for pointing out the duplicity of many who complaine about bush while giving Obama a pass. if they dont stand up against those who are supposed to "represent" them, then who will?
You could probably do that without resorting to outright fabrication.
