Wow........ I have no proof of this, but do you sometimes wonder if there is more to this "terrorist" thing then Oboma had knowledge of prior to taking office? Once he realized what was actually going on, he has stuck to some of the guns from the prior administration?

I think it's more a case of someone being given power, then using that power to seize as much more power as they can. It's an all-to-common human failing.

    No kidding.

16 years of Bush/Obama could prove to be pretty terrible.

I'm beginning to sound like a broken record on this, but...how on earth can any Obama supporters (based on his campaign platforms) possibly think he deserves re-election?

    Disgusting.

What defines a "war zone"? Who is the US at war with in Afghanistan?

lol i love it.. now obama and bush are being compared as one... oh how quickly people's opinions change.

Obama took office and realized all the scary **** that goes on in this world and realized that he could live in his fairytale-land of bringing world peace. Maybe there was a reason methods he hates (such as this) were implemented in the first place... to keep America safe.

(not saying I agree or disagree with this policy fyi)

they voted for a word and a celebrity thinking "oh boy! this politics thing is so fun! WEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

How quickly people's opinions change? Which people are you referring to and what makes you think my opinion has changed in the first place?

I'm not a fan of Bush nor was I ever a fan of Obama. I didn't vote for him and haven't been sold on him from the beginning.

Not surprising. He voted for the PATRIOT Act when he was still a senator.

The axis of evil. Or people that aren't with the US. I forget the exact rhetoric.

Obama was always the lesser of two weevils, and will likely be again in 2012. I'd rather my rights were eroded slowly by Obama than rapidly by McCain or Pence or Palin or Huckabee or Romney or any of the other extremist right.

With the kind of candidates the GOP is putting forth these days in response to the demands of the teabaggers and their media talkers, I can guarantee that it will be someone who believes less in Habeus than Obama does. If you find this to be disgusting, you should be horrified by the potential alternatives.

The thought did cross my mind. It would be a better reason than just a naked power grab on Obama's part.

    It's still wrong, either way.

Because the alternative will probably be worse than Obama, just like it was in the last election.
